BEHIND THE SCENES
Born and raised into Musical Family in South Africa, I started to focus on dance as a career at the age of fourteen. My first few steps in the Dance direction... I eventually progressed to become the Rock 'n Roll, and Hustle Undefeated rising star National Champion of South Africa, consecutively winning every title that were possible, whilst moving up the ranks on the International Latin Arena. I then won every major pre-championship Latin competition and was promoted to the Amateur Latin Status where I ranked in the top six couples in South Africa before moving to London in 2001. However, whilst competing in South Africa my partners and I performed in thousands of shows, from restaurants, corporates events to Television, and music videos.
March 2001, my Professional Dance Partner and I moved to London to further our dance careers training with the best dance teachers in the world, to name a few: Karen Hardy, Goran Nordin, Nicola Nordin, Carmen Vincelj, Barbara McCol, June McMurdo, Matthew Cutler, and Lynn Harmen. We competed in every major event in the United Kingdom from the Sunday Circuit competitions to all the Major Internationally sort after events, achieving great results while performing in hundreds of shows across the U.K. from corporate events to promotions and feature films
In 2009 I turned Professional and moved to Singapore t after only six weeks my partner and I we were placed sixth in the Taiwan International Professional Latin Championships. Sixth months later we split and I moved back to London to continue my Education in London.
June 2010, I completed my professional teaching Qualification with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA), where achieved the highest results in the country and was offered the Giles Bursary Award for outstanding Achievement. The following year I qualified as a Zumba Instructor.
Today I am a Entrepreneur, Professional Competitor, Performer, Highly Qualified Dance Teacher, Choreographer and Fitness Trainer, Music Editor and last Ranked in the top 12 of the British Professional Latin Competitors.
I am Humble in my approach to all areas I specialize in and I bring a passionate twist of story and character to all aspects of dance...
